Beginning again…each day is a beautiful opportunity...
From a heart centered approach, I believe that we all begin again every day and each of us has the opportunity to connect with our true self through curiosity and compassion. As a vessel for healing energy and spiritual connection, I offer healing modalities to aid you in connecting with your true self, healing emotionally, physically, mentally, providing clarity, creativity, and peace.
My name, Spirit of Golden Joinery, came about as a perfect example of spirit connecting the parts selves that we may have lost or have separated from (for more information click here: Kintsuji). In the ancient Japanese art of Kintsuji, broken pieces of pottery are reconnected with gold creating an absolutely beautiful work of art. Working with our parts that are fighting against us, protecting us and hiding from us, then bringing them back to your essence or natural self, creates the same beautiful golden healing bond within ourselves as it does in Kuntsuji.
My journey and teachers:
My yoga journey began 30 years ago in the form of an exercise tape (yes VCR tape!) as a young adult. I practiced on and off including pregnancy yoga. After having children, I explored Hot Yoga and Bikram Yoga to counter 5K training. Post a major life change, I injured my back due to stress, and began to look at Yoga in a very different way. Yoga centered me, helped me connect with my body, feel my emotions, and relax my busy mind. I learned that my body had reached its limit for stress and needed gentle compassion to recover. It was at this time that I also began to practice Yoga Nidra. Yoga Nidra was life changing, quieted my mind in a deeper way, slowed me down enough to take a breath and allow life to unfold naturally. I experienced silent Buddhist retreats (amazing facility ~ Insight Meditation Society) which removed the movement/exercise from my focus, allowing me to experience meditation fully and find a connection with my true self in a way I didn’t realize I was missing.
The next level of growth I experienced was moving to Arizona. I was blessed to have the space to dive deep into meditation and spirituality, reaping the benefits of Yoga, Tai Chi, Sound Healing, Yoga Nidra, Energy Healing, Mindfulness Meditation, MBSR, Kundalini Yoga, etc. It was here that my spiritual journey reached a deeper level. I trained in Meditation with Jeanie Farley, became a Reiki 2 Practitioner with Sangeet K Khalsa, studied Transformational Life Coaching at South West Institute of the Healing Arts, and trained in Crystal Singing Bowls with Tara Kaur of Sedona Crystal Temple.
I knew I wanted to share my love for Yoga focusing on the spiritual connection with self. Moving back to the North East led me directly to Cape Cod where I immersed myself in Yoga teacher training through Harmony Yoga, becoming a 200hr registered yoga teacher with Yoga Alliance. Adding to my coaching training, I decided to study IFS Coaching, a therapy model created by Richard Swartz. I had personally worked with IFS for years and found this meditative, spiritual model to be incredibly transformative. I began teaching a variety of Yoga classes, coaching women and co-developed and lead the Intuitive Development Group in Southern Maine.
Continuing with my spiritual growth, I became a Kundalini Reiki Master Teacher and IET (Integrated Energy Therapy) Practitioner with Linda Anzelc Huitt. IET has proven to be a a foundational piece of everything I do and offer. In 2021, I beat the winter cold by returning briefly to SWIHA for a beautiful Sound Healing Course focusing on gong and Tibetan singing bowl therapy. Then completed a 35 hour Yoga Nidra training (YA Certified) with Segal Urlacher.
I found Clarity Breathwork during my first yoga teacher training and found the gentle, heart centered Breathwork to be a life changing modality. In January 2022 I began level 1 training and have completed the practitioner training, finishing up level 5 in June 2022. I am beyond excited to be offering this deeply transformative service privately and in group settings.
The beautiful Gloucester community connected me with Johnna Aggelikas, Master IET Instructor and I became IET Level 2 certified in June 2022.
2023 has been a big year as well, completing my 500 hour Yoga Alliance Certification with Harmony Yoga, September 2023, became an Integrated Energy Therapy Master Instructor in September 2023 with Linda Anzelc Huitt, and finished Usui Reiki Master Teacher training November 2023 with Grace Harrington Murdock.
Currently, I attend Spa Tech for Massage Therapy and am really excited to add this modality to my offerings in May 2023.
As you can see, I've been blessed to study with a large variety of beautiful, connected souls. My focus in all offerings is to provide a safe, supported environment for clients to explore and discover their heart, uncovering the infinite possibilities of their true self, bringing peace, joy and wellbeing into their lives.
Services are offered in Cape Cod, MA, Gloucester, MA, Gray, Maine and virtual.
